Ipswich is one of the fastest growing urban centres in the country and is home to England's newest university. You will be well aware of the challenges that our council faces. Identifying opportunities to improve the way we work and finding new partnerships will be key to delivering better value for money while maintaining high quality services. You will also need to be a strong and passionate ambassador for Ipswich, encouraging and supporting further regeneration and attracting new investment into Suffolk's county town. You will also be a strong and effective leader – able to implement change while inspiring your staff to follow and do likewise. You will also need to operate effectively in a dynamic political environment. |
